Although a typical video game takes 5-10 years to develop, amateur video game developers at Ohio University's GRID Lab were challenged this weekend to develop a game in 24 hours.
I think there's a lot to be said for working under pressure and to a deadline (up to a point of course). It really helps to focus the mind, to think of good ideas and to think of them quickly.
I believe it's a good way of bringing out innovation.
