Damion Schubert on Hardcore/Casual Gamers

A recent post by BioWare MMO designer Damion Schubert in his Zen Of Design blog discusses the notion of what it means to be a hardcore/casual gamer.

In the blog he states that it is vital to understand that many games put off one or the other. He suggests that the key to creating a successful game is that it appeals to a wide audience, as opposed to just hardcore or casual gamers, and he urges hardcore gamers to "evangelize to the casual."
