Halo:ODST's gameplay debut at Microsoft's E3 conference is more or less confirmed, but the latest leak in the whole pre E3 rambling mode is related to a new game in the Halo universe, titled Halo: Reach. The existence of this game comes via Bungie's own community where a sub forums titled "Halo Reach" and "Halo:ODST" appeared. This led to a heavy discussion around the new project which popped up on Bungie's other existing threads and were swiftly removed to sprout any further discussions regarding the project, here are a few cached pages centering around the discussion.

He's got Final Fantasy pre-ordered, both of them.
Unless this is the Perter Jackson game or Halo 4, can't really see them announcing a fourth Halo title when ODST hasn't been officially announced.
And if they are, how is this not running the franchise into the ground?

and if they did a game based on the fall of reach, then they could add more spartans into the story.....as there was more around at the time.
i think it could happen this gen aswell, another halo spin-off made by bungie with the same engine, whilst they simultaneously create their new engine for halo4 and all the halo games they that are gonna make next-gen.
i'm sorry sony fans, but everyone that talks about bungie hating microsoft and not going to make another halo game talk out of their ar$e. bungie went indi for one reason: to get a bigger slice of the halo pie! they saw their i.p turn into a series thats nearly earnt a billion $, and quite rightly want a bigger slice of halo pie.
to think that now they are an indie studio, they're going to turn their back on guaranteed bumper pay days, and make risky i.ps just shows how niave and stupid you are. halo, is and will always be bungies main franchise and focus...it's what they do best. but more importantly for a now indie studio, it's where the big bucks are.

A new halo would be sweet. They just need to tweak it a little and I'm in. I still pop in halo 3 from time to time.
I dont understand the whole remarks of people saying that the Halo series is dead. It has had three games, how many has Metal Gear had? Like 10? Bungie said they werent going to make any more games with the Halo label, so this could be the internal project including Frankie at Microsoft and maybe Peter Jackson. I love the Halo brand and hopefully Mountain Dew will re-release Game Fuel with the release of ODST. I drank so much of that at launch I had orange piss that glowed in the dark.
But my favorite Halo novel was Ghosts of Onyx. I hope that novel is realized into a game. The whole time reading that novel it just felt EPIC!
If anyone is even remotely a fan of Halo and don't mind reading, do yourself a favor and read all of the Halo novels, most of them are great. The only one that isn't that good is the one that was exactly the same as the first Halo. I forgot what it was called, but it was like reading about someone playing the game, which is not what a book should be. It should fill in the holes of the game.
