Square confirms Neir for all platforms, due 2010

Neir, the oft teased action-adventure game, has finally been announced by Square-Enix. Set in a crumbling world plagued by disease and dark, unrecognizable creatures, players assume the role of the unyielding titular protagonist, resolute in his quest to discover a cure for his daughter, who is infected with the Black Scrawl virus. The game is being developed by Cavia, the Japanese studio behind, well... to put it gently, a bunch of games that you've likely never heard of. Cavia! They made Drakengard. Nice to see them working with Square Enix again.

Can't wait to see more from this game.

If we can't have another in the franchise, I'll settle for this. Cavia are pretty decent developers. Heck, even Bulletwitch was a rather fun mess. (Bought it for $10 new, can't really complain at that price.)

Thank you. At least someone reads the little logos on the box.

I think they only made the sequel to Drakengard? Anyways, a next gen one would be cool - Lair done right.

Near's game is going to be on all platforms..?

Can't wait to see how this game will develop over time :).

Wasn't Cavia supposed to make that 360 exclusive Cry-On as well?

PirateThom3404d ago

No, that was Mistwalker.

SpoonyRedMage3404d ago (Edited 3404d ago )

Actually Cavia was making it. Mistwalker outsource all their developments, mostly to AQ interactive.
