Frogster America today announced that it will utilise steaming technology to allow players quicker first-time access to its free to play MMO, Runes of Magic.
Due to the size of RoM's client, players can currently expect to wait hours until they are able to create their first character once they begin downloading the game. However, thanks to a new deal with LLC's streaming technology, MMO BitRaider, the download time should be reduced drastically.
It's a good idea. Seen this work in a few other things before - notably, the World of Warcraft trial does this, these days.
