The Best Decision Sony Made This Generation

Since this generation of gaming consoles arrived, there has been an ongoing debate on who would win this generation and why. The Xbox 360 released in late 2005 while the Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii released in late 2006. The 360 stayed in the lead for almost two years until the Wii pulled ahead and hasn't looked back. The PS3 has been in last place since their console released and Sony was dealing with a lot of problems for quite some time. The marketing wasn't on point, the games were lackluster, and the PS3 was lacking features people who owned the 360 had grown accustomed to. Many people called foul when a slew of titles that were exclusive to Sony consoles for the last two generations moved over to the 360 as either multiplatform titles or timed exclusives. The two biggest announcements that shook gamers were the Grand Theft Auto series going multiplatform and the Final Fantasy series also going multiplatform. These were two games that could have potentially been console sellers for the PS3 had they stayed exclusive and not gone multiplatform.

Sony made a decision that benefits gamers. It's that simple.

They made a system with built-to-last hardware and they invested into development teams (long-term investment) instead of throwing money at timed exclusives and DLC (short-term investment). Take one quick look at the game lineup for 2009 and 2010 and it's pretty easy to see that Sony's plan has gamers in mind.

I won't lie, I bought Haze and Lair. Because I found them each for less than 10 bucks and they got so much hate I just had to see for myself. I actually liked them both. Heh.

^^ mY ass the games were lackluster.. says who? the media?,well fvck the media cuz sony is all about their fans and gamers alike.

i personally (as many MANY others do as well) dont think that any ps3 exclusives have ben lackluster with the excception of Haze (aNd Lair in some ppl's opinions).

pretty much 99% of all the ps3 1st and 2nd party exclusives have ben AAA quality,in fact i cant even think of ONE that was below AAA for me.
even 3rd party titles have ben descent as well...

overall,my point bieng that sony is a AAA quality company that produces AAA quality hardware and software to its loyal fans/fanboys and gamers alike.
