X-Men Videogame Origins: The Best Wolverine Games of All Time

The buzz is that the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game might be something we rarely see – a good movie tie-in game. The movie was pushed back from its original release date, giving developer Raven Software extra time that licensed movie games usually don't get. What's even more rare is its unflinching portrayal of Wolverine. Notoriously one of the most violent characters in Marvel Comics, Wolverine's attacks in previous games weren't any more brutal then a punch from Colossus. X-Men Origins: Wolverine on the other hand easily deserves it's M-rating with hacking, slashing, and dismemberments.

best wolverine game is right. Its awesome. Almost thru chapter 1 myself. I had to go back and replay the first sections and instead of starting a new game i chose to replay and it let me do so with the skill levels i had already earned so now im still in chapter one but up to a level 12.

but yes best wolverine game yet. Hopefully the movie is good to.

The one you're talking about wasn't even mentioned actually.

sorry i was meaning that the current one is the best yet out of them all. those are all good as well, esp the arcade edition. I never got a chance to play x-men or x2 sadly. Ultimate alliance is good but i have too many recent games to go back and finish that one.

i rarely agree with you on anything ghost but this article was a nice find.

Adamantium rage was better. Back in the day anyway

the article fails to mention X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse for SNES, that was one of the best X men games.

X-men Mutant Apocolapse> X-men 2: Clone Wars> Wolverine:Adamantium rage in that order for 16 bit consoles.

X-men Arcade was amazing. Needs to come to XBLA/PSN.

I agree with the list, though it does remind me of worst wolverine game that I've played. "Spiderman and X-men" man that game was terrible and to make matters worse it was b-day gift one year.

Wolverine's Revenge sucked, I rented the game it was just overall bad. The gameplay was sluggish and redundant. Everything else is a must play.

Played the demo. Quite impressed, it's pretty satisfying.
