First-party 360 MMO reveal unlikely for E3, says Roper

VG247: Don Mattrick is unlikely to announce a Microsoft MMO for 360 at E3, Cryptic design director Bill Roper has told VG247, as the Xbox boss isn't a fan of the genre and doesn't have the infrastructure to support a perpetual online 360 product.

The story is too old to be commented.

"as the Xbox boss isn't a fan of the genre and doesn't have the infrastructure to support a perpetual online 360 product."

So because Don Mattrick isn't a fan of MMO dictates over what their customers want?? That doesn't sound right.

Also, Xbox Live is the ONLY pay for online service and they are the ones who can't support a perpetual online 360 product? WTF?

Since when does Roper speak for MS or have any idea of their plans? Also with Champions Online coming and talk of other third party MMO's does the 360 need a first-party MMO? I would think Roper doesn't want the competition from say a Halo MMO. You might as well close shop for Champions Online if they did.

What concerned me more was that he wasn't metioning his MMO at all. Or even hinting that 3rd party like himself will be promoting MMO's at E3??
