Research company OTX GamePlan announced the most anticipated games of the year, according to their polling are Final Fantasy XIII for ps3, Halo 3: ODST for x360, and Wii Sports Resort for Wii.
sound about right, tbh. All 3 of those titles will sell amazingly well, with Wii Sports Resort probably beating the other two. I'm not saying that's right, but a lot of people bought Wiis just for Wii Sports. I think the new one is even bundled with Wii MotionPlus, so we'll see what happens. I hope FFXIII hits this year, but I still doubt it (in the US at least).
how the Xbox 360s FFXIII is %100 not coming out this year yet they only mention the PS3 version as: "Final Fantasy XIII & God of War III are both likely 2010 releases" Do they think it'll release on the 360 this year and the ps3 next year or what? I also don't understand how a pre-order can be lower than the purchase intent. Do tons of people cancel pre-orders or what? Where's Infamous on this list, is it not good enough? Where's GT 5? Where's MAG? Where's Prototype? I know people are more interested in that over \/ Why is Wolverine on all the list? It's a movie tie-in... Why isn't Batman Arkam Asylum on the list (i think the game is crappy from the GameStop Demo but Batman has followers just like wolverine) I am annoyed to see wolverine as one of the "Most Anticipated Games Of 2009" even though it DOES look like a fun/good game.
im going to have to say that killzone 2 deserves to be in the top 3. At least we know killzone 2 delivered. edit: killzone 2 isnt on the list. thats odd, i guess its because its already out. it still was one of the most anticipated games of the year. forget the new wii fit, its a mini game. People dont understand that the wii cant replace regular exercise, its not that much of a work out. I would know im a really lazy/out of shape person and i still didnt break a sweat on the toughest difficulty. and the wii says im fat, but i weigh 140 and im 6 foot 6 inches (that is stupid)
killzone is a unpopular franchise Brah. It wont be on the list.
A lot of these games aren't even 2009.
It's funny, just yesterday it was said that Modern Warfare 2 would not be on Wii and yet it was tacked by the people doing the survey for Wii.
My bet is they got it wrong here. There are some major releases missing and FFXIII will only be out on PS3 (in Japan) in 2009. That's pretty common knowledge.
I say this info will be useless in a few weeks things have changed just in the last 3 days dramatically. EDIT Disagree? some of these games don't really have 2009 release dates and some of them are even said to be for 2010.
Dude my friend work at Gamestop and he told me that about 20 people daily "Fully Reserved" Halo ODST same with Call of Duty MW2 not to mention the people that reserve it with 5$ or more and that's happening since march. of course the gameplan will change dramatically
No one is doubting Halo I buy every Halo game. I'm well aware of Halo's appeal. Some of these games are currently slated for 2010 and with E3 coming things can change, some of these games slated for 2010 can end up releasing this year making a surprise release date this year. Some other huge titles can be announced at E3 that could put some of these games in the back of the hype bus. Thats all I meant. The Poll is not valid when gamers are anticipating games that as of now will not make 2009. "I say this info will be useless in a few weeks things have changed just in the last 3 days dramatically." ^^E3 will confirm what will release this year. Other games will be shown that will make this list and possibly take the place of some of these games with incorrect dates on this list. We already see new games being shown before E3 just in the last few days so you know E3 is over flowing with secrets. These dev leaks of big games tell me MSFT and others possibly only have so much time and room to get through E3 hence the leaking and hyping before E3 when all eyes are watching. Hope I cleared that up.
