Chances are most of us actually enjoy watching films to do with battles as well but the reality is that most of us will never have to know the true horrors of war and for that we must be truly thankful. We enjoy all the heroics and camaraderie and enjoy the fact that once we get shot it's only a short wait till we're back in the fight. When a game has pretensions of realism it's usually at the detriment of the gameplay, after all anyone who has played COD 4 on Veteran will tell you, dying a lot isn't fun. But get that balance right and you're in for a tense and compelling war sim."
