Binge Gamer's James Walker, an Iraq War veteran, sounds off on Konami's pulling their support for 'Six Days in Fallujah' and calls for Konami and other game publishers to "show some chutzpah" in supporting games that go outside the box.
"Yes, hypocrites. The crux of the argument against this particular game is that it is based on real events and that “trivializing” these events in a video game would dishonor those who fought and died in said conflict. Which is interesting when you consider that, as of this writing, there have been no fewer than nine Gulf War games, 12 Vietnam games, 15 Civil War games, 19 World War I games, and 160 World War II games — most of which have some interpretation of the Normandy Beach Invasion." This guy makes an EXTREMELY good argument
But it doesn't change the fact that I don't want the game. FYI, I only own one game (FPS) which u may or may not link to reality: COD4/ I never liked any reality based games. But the argument he makes against Konami is legit. Gaming industry already has soo many video games based on other wars, why not add another one to the list?
