Microsoft has just officially announced the release date of the Windows 7 Release Candidate on their Windows Blog. The RC will be available on April 30 for MSDN and TechNet subscribers, while the public will be able to snag the RC starting May 5, two days earlier than expected.
Is this the successor to Vista?
Yes and anyone planning on buying vista, don't bother - wait the few extra months for windows 7. I've been using one of the beta builds since it came out a few months back as my main operating system and it is so much quicker and efficient than vista.
What are the minimum requirements?
Anyone know how long the RC client will be valid for until they want you to buy a real version of windows 7? Also is there a confirmed release date yet (month) ?
That's all nice but how much will it cost people to get it? Will there be any deals for those people who just bought a new Computer? More answered questions would be good. I guess we shall know in the coming week.
