Crystal Bearers takes place in the technologically most advanced world in the history of the Crystal Chronicles franchise. Millennia before the game's story begins, the Yukes and the Lilties fought a bitter war. Eventually the technologically and militarily superior Lilties prevailed and the Yukes were wiped out. In present times, the conflict and magic have long been forgotten. Guns have replaced swords and the power of the Crystal is used to power industrial production."
