good to see they've got the ps3 version looking nearly as good as the 360 version. Seems the only real difference is the lighting but i'm sure when you're playing at home it's hard to notice the difference. Interesting to note that both versions sometimes drop below 30fps a second though and surprised to see that the pc version needs a pretty decent rig to get the most out of it.

eurogamer is a complete joke i own both systems,it makes me laugh how they make the differences sound game breaking.360 ports and ps3 ports are almost identical.you can,t be playing the game to notice thats for sure.if they was to do a 360 comparison on its ports all would be fair but to try and find fault on just one system smells of desparation for hits or a pure fanboy grudge.the worst part these are for c games at best,do they pick on the aaa stuff, not unless they want to lose there advertising revenue.giving ea the score they did for the godfather has cost them big time so i would exspect more of this crap coming soon.having played the same games on both systems from borrowed copys theres very little difference at all what ever system when in comes to multiplats.

I can immediately tell that this is a flawed comparison. I've tested some PS3-version gameplay footage myself, and I'm pretty sure it came out to be a full 1280x720 resolution.

The analyst also failed to make any mention of and/or even notice the fact that the game uses a dynamic framebuffer, adjusting its resolution and AA levels on the fly during gameplay to maintain a smooth framerate. Both the 360 and PS3 versions have been tested during gameplay video footage to drop down to as low as 1024x576 during some graphically intensive scenes.

Finally, another oversight: The sudden dip in framerate when doing quick turns is NOT due to the motion blur effect slowing things down. The sudden dip is due to a delay in the dynamic framebuffer system not switching resolutions fast enough to compensate for the player suddenly switching viewpoints from a simple scene to an environmentally/graphically complex scene. That's why the framerate sometimes gets all jerky for a second as the player makes a quick turn--because it takes a second for the engine to switch to a lower resolution and lower AA setting in order to smooth out the framerate again.

Both look very similar. The PS3 versions seems to have its gamma up more. In some scenes this helps the PS3, in others the 360. The only other difference i could see was that when they were doing a close up of Riddick, the shadow from the goggles where all twitchy on both consoles but more obvious on the 360.

Overall they are literally the same,

Tenchu: SA on PSOne comes to mind.
MGS is great but Tenchu is ops it in my book.

Tenchu! NICE! Wow, I haven't seen anyone mention Tenchu in such a long time. Really, they're my favorite stealth games from back in the day. Ayame or Rikimaru?

miyamoto2953d ago (Edited 2953d ago )

That's a toughie

but seriously

It's either between Proto-Rikimaru
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

or Manji Cult
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Nothing beats the original that won Shuhei Yoshida's heart.

Odoylerules0002953d ago

@miyamoto Okay, my mind is officially blown. First, at how gutter the first Tenchu test footage is(that jump sound effect..), and second...Wow! I had no idea that was motion capture. I immediately knew what I was looking at when he started moving, though. Incredible. Thanks a lot for showing me those, I had no idea those videos existed.

What about the one that was so stealthy, no one played it at all because nobody knew it was there?!

I'm actually having some fun with Shadows of Mordor and sneaking around the orcs and uruks
