EDGE: PSP Narrowly outsells DSi in Japan

PSP outsold DSi by just 213 units in Japan to narrowly top the hardware chart for the week ended April 12.

Meanwhile, PS3 continued its momentum built through March - when it was the country's top-selling home console – to again outsell its rivals.

Weekly sales were down across the board excluding those of Xbox 360, which rose by more than 2,000 units.

Were DS Lite sales factored into the equation then Nintendo sold the most portable systems during the week in question, but Sony can nevertheless feel happy about its performance in Japan after its relatively poor March hardware sales figures Stateside.

Here's the full weekly sales rundown, after the link.. (Culture, Dev, Industry, Nintendo DS, PSP, Tech)
