Diehard GameFAN: Demon's Souls Review

Demon's Souls may sport English in-game text, voice acting and instructions for those of you who import the Asian version, but in the end, the game doesn't provide enough bang for the buck. Although the game occasionally sports some decent visuals, it's a dingy dull look title for the most part with a control scheme you will either love or utterly hate. It's also a wildly unbalanced game sporting many "new features" for an action RPG that might have sounded good on paper but provide some serious issues when it comes to actual follow-through.

Still, the game boasts one of the best and most helpful fan communities out there for an import title, and you'll be hard pressed to find a more import friendly title for the most import friendly console of all time. Demon's Souls isn't a top tier title, but it does have its moments. (Demon's Souls, PS3) -

Actually, that's a grammatically correct clause.
So, a person who doesn't use capitalization or punctation makes fun of a clause that's actually correct? You do realize that makes you a look more than a little foolish.

Sad reviewer is sad
Poor guy, bashing a game because he sucks :(

An example :

“Oh look. I have to fight five things at once. Oh no, my weapon just broke. Oh no, now I am dead because I can’t really right back. Oh well, I guess I’ll just repair my wea…nope. No souls. I guess I’ll just buy a new…nope. No souls. Oh well, I’ll fight weak enemies until I level up and have a better chance at fighting unarmed. Nope. You need souls to level up.”

If anything of this happens to you .know this : You are playing the game WRONG... just like the mediocre player that reviewed this game.

How is it possible that I am the only one reading this review?
People are commenting like the reviewer is bashing the game. He's not. It's fairly obvious from reading the review that he LIKES the game. He's just also pointing out what's wrong with it...which is what a REVIEWER IS SUPPOSED TO DO.

I hardly call quotes like "compared to other action role playing games, there are a lot of reasons to come back to this title again and again.", " the engine is amazingly deep and has a lot of promise to be something major," or "If you are interested in importing Demon’s Souls, you will be hard pressed to find a more active and helpful fan community than the one for this game." bashing a game. It just sounds like he didn't like the currency problems with the game and wished he could remap the controller.

Funny because those are the best parts of the game. The souls ,how you get them and how you use them are what make the game stand out from the rest, you can make your character anything you want it to be.( the game is called demon's souls, you can tell by that that the souls are an important part of it )
The controls are fine, and how you character moves and act depends on your weapon, armor , and overall weight , the only problem is the lock on when are multiple enemies on screen, a problem that almost every game with lock on has
Also, the guy says that this game looks like a PS2 game... that alone is laughable, if you see the game you can tell the graphics are beautiful , the only problem is the framerate in certain areas

Anyway, if you had the game you should know for what he wrote that he really doesn't know how to play the game, and that is the sad part, you can´t review a game if you don't know how to play it... your weapon won't break easily, in fact in my full playthrough i only broke a sword one time because it was the weakest weapon in the game. You will have plenty of souls to do what you want all the time , and when facing multiple enemies you can lure them out one by one if they are strong. Sooo, i can't take this guy seriously really

I can go on and on and on, this is like reading a super mario bross review where the reviewer says : " mmmm, i don't like the jumps and all, you keep on jumping on falls and there are even enemies with spikes on their backs , how am i supposed to jump on them? "
