Blizzard accidentally posted their anticipated Battle Report 2 transcript and graphics, and StarcraftWire.net members were quick to grab it before it was taken down.
Map looks great! Can't wait to see it in action...
It's really a huge difference from StarCraft I in terms of terrain versatility.
Doh. It's 10 years technology difference...
I wasn't implying a lack of technollogic advances... It's just nice to see that there are ramps in all directions, really tall cliffs and all these things. They have still kept the terrain easy to recognize on what is what, and doesn't get in teh way of gaming. It IS impressive.
Really good news! There's even a transcript!!!
Yeah. I think that's the biggest surprise actually. Don't think they've leaked this much info before at once.
Really, why did they post only half of this baby? Is is because of the pressure of the community?
I'm pretty sure it was a mistake. They likely didn't mean to post it at all!
MHAAA! Then they are probably the only ones who did not want to see this battlereport released then! This thing has been on the shelves for ages. It seems like all the post production work is piling ever higher causing a release to be delayed by unreasonable amounts of time!
Yeah. They should really cut out most of the localization.
Bit of a bummer for Blizzard. ever put anything online and visible before it's ready with so many crazy fans out there!
Well thats my problem with them lately. Blizzard has always been terribly slow with releases. However, lately, with all the localization it seems to have gotten so much worse. Even a simple video like this stays in post production for weeks if not months! I think that even they should realise this is an unacceptable amount of time for just a video. Might sound negative here, but I really do want to view this baby ;)
I couldn't agree more.
@SCFreelancer: That's a very very good way of putting it!
well remember, Blizzard truly is the "perfectionist" gaming company. I don't think there are any that can compare when it comes to their releases. Just imagine how hectic it must be to have such a huge fan base screaming at you every second for more information on everything and anything, but your restricted from doing so because you don't only represent the game, but the entire company itself!
@C0de: What you say it true. Everything hey publish can either harm or support their good name. However, looking at their current production cycle for gameplay videos (which seems to take well over a month) I can't escape the thought that that is just to long for something a simple as a gameplay video. Even if you look at the overall picture it seems that even in a relative sense their production time is getting worse and worse when compared to most if not all the competition.
Leaks like this are kind of funny. Whoops we accidentally posted it on the internet?
Can't wait for SC2 / D3....
I agree, the map design looks very good. However with just one cliff up to each players main base, and that is a cliff you easily can cover visually... I don't think Reapers and the like will see much action on this map :-/
The match is a solid 22 mins long, so it should be very interesting. I really enjoyed the previous one. Browders commentary was very inspired :D
