Canonical: Linux isn't dead on netbooks

Ubuntu distributor Canonical has attacked Microsoft's claims that Windows is now the dominant force on netbooks as "absolute nonsense". Microsoft claimed victory in the netbook market earlier this week, reporting that 96% of netbooks sold in the US now come with Windows.

They're based on a survey put out by NPD. Actual market penetration for Linux in Netbooks is roughly 30%, not the 4% that Microsoft claims.

May I ask where you are getting your numbers from? I find 30% very hard to believe.
