Kombo Writes: "Here it is, April 7th as I write this little blogglet. I'm tired, cranky and bitter to be getting back to reality. I just got married and came home from my incredible honeymoon late last night. Life's been great for the last few weeks. We didn't spend nearly as much money as we'd anticipated, so I've got some extra cash lying around.
I'd been hoping for this exact scenario. My DS Lite broke months ago. I wanted to come back from my honeymoon and rush to the store in order to snag a DSi. But I didn't. I still haven't. I like the additions and the look of the upgraded handheld, but I still haven't made my way out to the store. And, for the life of me, I can't figure out why I haven't picked it up yet.
So, what in the hell has been stopping me?
I've got a few things that I've been mulling over for the last few days. I'm trying to come up with a reason to buy the DSi, and all I've developed are reasons why I should simply hold off. What are they? All right… here we go. "
It’s impossible to review the DSiWare game, Color Commando, fairly without considering that it’s the work of a single man with very limited resources. Unfortunately, it’s that limitation that shows in almost every aspect of the game, from its brevity to the slight lack of polish. To his credit however, Hugo Smits, creator of other DSiWare titles like Flipper and Ace Mathician, managed to make his heavily flawed title at the very least charming and colorful with a decent bit of challenge.
It looks like a cute title. Though the issues are something that would turn me off from playing it much.
Ugh, I hate when a game requires precision but the controls don't allow for it. That adds up to lots of frustration.
It is the year 3024, and Earth is running low on Natural resources. A team of scientists creates a robot known as Nep2no to search underwater for an energy source known as Gaia. Does this game sink into the Abyss, or is it a cave worth exploring?
Nintendo's debut handheld consoles were made in the Game and Watch era. Now, Retro Pocket is reviving the LCD style of those games in a new DSiWare package...
I see what u guys mean but i wont ... im done with gameboys (a.K.A Ds)
for now im happy with my psp ... and il sit and hold for a psp2 ... unlike the gameboy i think from psp to psp2 there will be a big jump unlike the ds (gameboy) ,, so im ok with my psp and im not going for a DS any time soon ....
but then again thats only my view of these gameboy story but i must agree nintendo ccant be stop lol.. they can put a turd in a box put nintendo name on it and will sell over 1 Mil lol..
... Nothing is stopping me.
I kinda have an issue with the lack of backwards compatibility, and the fact that it is supposed to be okay, because we can download the games now... So they want me to re-buy the games I already own? No thanks, I'll keep my current DS.
ummm i want to see if itll drop in like 5 months then ill see if i want one. got the DS lite tho. and my psp i like my psp more tho
use the extra cash to make a gift for your wife !!
If your wife like video games it's fine but if she dilikes them then , using that cash would be a waste
