WTP writes: "Sega used the home of the XXI Winter Olympic Games, Vancouver 2010, to showcase its latest collaboration with Nintendo recently. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games comes exclusively to Wii and Nintendo DS this fall. Sega's Team Sonic, which is working closely with Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto on this new project, has two separate teams working on unique experiences for the Wii and Nintendo DS thanks to the additional development time they've had with this latest project. Not that their first historic collaboration, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, had any problem finding an audience. That game has sold nearly 12 million copies worldwide to date. Given the fact that many winter sports lend themselves to more exciting video game interpretations, expectations for the popularity of this new Winter Games title are understandably lofty."
