Loot-Ninja.com has posted some concept art from Interplay's Project V13 that look very similar to a Fallout title. Check out the Brotherhood of Steel and Nuka Cola signs.
Duck and Cover has managed to get their hands on a brand new screen shot from the still officially unannounced Fallout: Online MMOG.
Well if its like the oldschool fallout games those graphics are acceptable since you wont see them up close.
Fallout Online is the only MMO I'd have any interest in besides Dust 514 and Defiance. Best come to PS3 though.
That Gaming Site writes: "In an SEC filing by Interplay posted today the company has revealed they do not plan on dropping their counter-suit against Bethesda over the Fallout franchise. Early today it was revealed Bethesda had dropped their appeal for an injunction that would effectively halt development of the Fallout MMO and Interplay's ability to sell past Fallout titles."
Uh...what? Are Interplay suicidal? I mean, what are they expecting to go ahead with here?
I don't get it, they sold the franchise in order to exist again, now they want it back even though it's been made more mainstream then ever. Sure Bethedsa's terms were unfair for the development of the MMORPG, but you know, just give it up.
May I remind you Interplay, you have other games but Fallout.
I really have no respect for Interplay. They were great about 10 years ago, when they were actually publishing games. Today they are empty shell of what they once were.
I for one am looking forward to seeing what Obsidian does with the Fallout franchise this winter.
Interplay Entertainment has managed to win some heavy investment recently, increasing their funding for development of the Fallout MMO codenamed "Project V13." Interplay and Bethesda are currently embroiled in a court case over the rights to this MMO, with Bethesda acting like a big corporate bully against the smaller company. Bethesda and Interplay's original contract stipulated that Interplay would create the Fallout MMO, but Bethesda's recent actions have prompted Interplay to believe that Bethesda never intended to honor the contracts and have been liars all along.
Looks like Interplay was ready to make this a Fallout themed MMOG. The art looks great, I hope it would included international locations.
