Beyond Good & Evil Sequel Inspired By 9/11

GCO:To make a great game you'll need inspiration, and the ideas that come with it. So here's a question, what was the inspiration behind the sequel to Beyond Good & Evil?

When speaking to French gaming website All-Gamers, Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel candidly revealed the his inspiration for the game's sequel.

"There were a lot of inspirations: the Miyazaki universe, my own inspirations, politics and the media; the theme of September 11 - the CNN show with army messages and the fear climate. And it was a mix from other universes," Ancel told All-Gamers. (Beyond Good & Evil, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Culture, Industry, PS3, Xbox 360)
