So whether you're snickering at new ways to maim and decapitate, or you're stringing together combos and massive point-earning moves, MadWorld is an incredible game, and as deliciously violent and disturbingly inhumane as it is a joy to play. All work and no fun makes Jack a dull boy, but if your job description has suddenly incorporated shoving a giant cod on someone's head, and throwing them into a meat grinder, then Jack has no fear of becoming bored.
Beneath all the Smash and shovelware, the Wii really did have quite a few gems.
