GreenPixels: Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride Review

GreenPixels:

"My boyfriend was playing Dragon Quest V at the same time as me, but we ended up having some major differences in experience, a fact which highlights how Dragon Quest V sets itself apart from other Japanese role playing games. Because the game has players make choices that affect the plot, and since the monster pick-ups are random, he and I ended up with entirely different fighting teams and with characters that led very different lives. It was fun to talk about differences in dialogue between our characters and to compare who had which monsters in their party. That we were able to have a shared, and yet varied experience, is exactly what makes Dragon Quest V so brilliant." (Dragon Quest V, Nintendo DS) 4/5
