Video of the Game Connection 2009's PS3 demo
Looks good, but what's the point of making a game set on post-apocalyptic Mars when it could just as easily be post-apocalyptic Earth? Just think its a sad truth of the time that devs such as this are going to find their work outpaced by something like GOW3. Especially when they're going to be asking for $60 on the title.
It's an RPG so I'm pretty interested. Needs blood though.
Nice looking setting but everything else looks pretty bad. Sliding footwork anyone? pretty lame.
what is up with the sliding monsters and ps2 graphic? this must be some kinda pre-alpha build demo.. or else (o.O)
Im not impressed by the vid, as much as I am the concept. What was the point of showing that?
Eh...not too bad. Reminds me of a more detailed Marvel Ultimate Alliance. It needs a few garnishes and special effects though.
this game could be amazing but you dudes gotta understand its got a LOOONG way to go as that trailer (judging early) is a pile of dookie lol. sry but truth be told man. my judgment will change as more gets shown or revealed so wutever. :)
Design wise Doom 3 in FPS Dead Space is TPS And this in platformer next is racing in mars!
is this a ps3 exclusive?
I thought that having a game on one console and the PC made it an exclusive. Don't know where I'd get that idea from though. /sarcasm xD
Nice interview here: http://www.ps3center.net/ar... Its one of the 2000 games in development using Sony's PhyreEngine. Quote: -- The PC came with it when we chose the engine. We decided to use the Phyre Engine from Sony, and the engine works cross platform with the PC. -- and -- As I already mentioned, to be able to use the very particular architecture of the PS3 we decide to use the Phyre Engine, which is really designed to use all the cores and is really optimized for this platform. We think honestly that it’s the best engine for the PS3, and it allows us to plan a lot of effects and shaders so we are able to reach a very high quality game, not only with beautiful graphics but a high frame rate too! --
maybe another april fools joke
The movement and interaction physics were pretty shoddy looking tbh. If that's what a demo will really look like for this game then I fear it may be dead in the water. The man and monster looked like they were having a dancing-moonwalk-bloodless-sli dy-fight. Do they have a publisher for this? I only ask because I thought they said they didn't last week when this game was on the sony dev tools list. The environments looked fine but the characters moved really badly in relation to the floor.
If I were the developer, I'd consider this footage as "NOT READY FOR THE PUBLIC To SEE". Jezz, it looks like utter crap. Gotta be an April Fools jape surely! What's with the plastic looking dude on the header of the website, looks like an school art project! The whole set up looks incredibly dire... Don't hold much hope for it
so far it look like junk. I've seen that character design done better 10 times already, the animation looked very stiff, and the environment extremely uninspired. Not excited for this one.
well that was..unimpressive..
