Gears Of The War Against The Machines

"I just had some hands on time with Terminator Salvation and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Despite being a huge fan of the first two Terminator movies, I can't say I was looking forward to either the new movie or its accompanying game, but playing a few levels has actually changed my mind.

It's essentially a Gears Of War clone, which doesn't earn it any points for originality or imagination, but does actually suit the setting really well. In fact, I would even argue that the Gears-style combat system works better when fighting enemies with specific weak points, as you do here. Flanking is usually an option in Gears, but seldom a necessity. In Terminator Salvation, you have to get around behind your foes just to stand a chance. I'm not saying it's better than Gears Of War or anything, but it's good enough to be playable and fun."

Agreed, It didn't capture the essence of the first movie. That one was really gritty. But T2 was def. the better movie, imo. Arnold was born for that role.

Sounds like it should be a good game.
