Gamertags We're Sick Of Seeing

OXM UK has listed gamertags that they are sick of seeing on Xbox Live.

The list includes those who replace letters with numbers, call themselves 'sniper' and name themselves after videogame characters.

The story is too old to be commented.

hahah good list

What about people who use "420" at the end of their name? Come on people, you're not cool because you use marijuana and when you put that in your name we are all laughing at you, out loud and a lot.

GameOn3460d ago

Whats the number 420 got to do with weed apart from that forum.

I don't get it.

JeffGUNZ3460d ago

420 is the day when all pot heads smoke marijuana excessively. It's like a hippy christmas. I don't smoke marijuana, so I don't know where it orginated from, but that's the April 20th, aka 4/20. Pick Pot smoking day.

NegativeCreepWA3460d ago

Its a police call sign, that has something to do with pot.

Conan9973460d ago

its from here http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

On topic, yea I think the 420 is lame, really lame.

SmokeyMcBear3460d ago

you guys are just a bunch of squares

PirateThom3460d ago

They could have just used "42" and not looked so silly.

xabmol3460d ago

I like the herb too.

I had an alt char on MGO named "Laughing Stoner" for a while.

SL1M DADDY3460d ago

Are silly and need to find some more time to game and less time to pitch a fit about people's tags. When did it become fashionable to complain about how people write out their gamer tags or PSN IDs. lol

4Sh0w3460d ago

yeah you have a point but I have to admit that I have come across my fair share of Gamertags that were annoying as hell.

christian hour3460d ago

I only ever play games when I'm high! It's the best way to go! But I agree about the 420 thing.

JeffGUNZ3460d ago

That's incorrect, it is not a police code. I work law enforcement and I know that codes differ depending on departments but a i know most codes that are common start with 10-#...I never heard of anyone use 420 for any code, especially for a violation of drug/controlled substance act.

NegativeCreepWA3460d ago

That's just what I heard years ago, just did some research on it and a lot of people used to think that's what it meant but its not. Looks like it was just some teens that would meet up at 4:20 to smoke out.

No Way3460d ago

You make a good point.. lol.

But, I feel what the author is saying.. I'll be playin a co-op game, and this person on my team will have a name like vvh4txXx455xXx, or something like that. And, I'm thinkin.. hmm, what the hell do I call this guy? v-v-h-4?? Or how about, "what ass???"

Or, this tag that was i4cuna2x4, what would you say? Cuna? Which that tag stand for: I foresee you in a 2x4 box.

Iuno, really.. Some tags are just annoying when playing co-op games and you are trying to get their attention.

Maybe I'm just rambling, I don't really know right now.. lol.

JUSTICEFORALL3459d ago

There'd be fewer terrible Gamertags if Microsoft made it easier to reclaim your old ones when your credit card expires.

NinlenBox3460d ago

ive been told mine is very unique and different and does have a meaning. lol. mine is ninlenbox! woot!

No Way3460d ago

Good question.............. lol.

Mr_Bun3460d ago

The main problem I have is that I don't want to spend an hour trying to come up with something original...Especially when I haven't even started to play a game yet.I think of something..type it...it's taken so I say F*** it...I am one of those who adds number 'cause I don't have the patience for the ol' trial'n'error

Faztkiller3460d ago

i just spell mine all wEiRd

xabmol3460d ago (Edited 3460d ago )

An original or well thought out name will always be better than "Batman432" or "MasterChief6549173659173 "

DelbertGrady3460d ago

I used one of the names from the random generator to create an american account (community games pls). Some of them are really funny. I picked Faultiest Animal.
