Five new screenshots from Colin McRae: DIRT.
Can,t wait to see a ingame trailer.
Looks kind of kool.
yeah those shots look pretty good, but this is definitely a game you need to see in motion before you can really tell just "how" great it really looks....Iam a little curious which version these screenshots are from, but whatever I'm sure we will see alot from this game before its released.
this looks awesome...
looks amazing! i hope there will be an in car perspective.
Looks very nice.
But some details are a bit weird.
Like the foliage in screen 1, or the sand (or mud ?) in screen 4. Disturbing.
But not as good as the ones posted a couple days ago.
Let's see if it can beat MOTORSTROM.
CM:Dirt is a much more fully realised game than Motorstorm. The latter offers a light-weight single player experience and good multi-player fun (thought still limited). CM:Dirt will offer a deep single player experience and as yet unknown multiplayer gameplay.
I'm looking forward to this game.
this looks like such a great game
Looks sexy, and much better than Motorstorm. The motion blur in Motorstorm made it look horrible.
Looks good, but anybody think that picture number four looks a bit weird. The earth to the right looks as if it's a ripped up piece of cardboard...it doesn't look right at all.
for your 360, but can it hang with Motorstorm?
Seriously, those shockingly realistic screenshots are absolutely true to the in-game graphics. We seen it and played it. The scenic detail in Colin McRae: Dirt is astonishing. Playing it on a sweet 40-inch HD TV, we could see every blade of grass in the thick forestry that lines the dirt tracks as we raced along.
When you drive on the grass you can see it bend as it folds down underneath your car. Look behind you and you'll see the grass remain compressed as you drive away. It's not that there's never been nice grass in games before, it's the sheer amount of it that's impressive. The grass is so thick it forms a gorgeous furry texture that covers the banks.
Compare this to the usual flat green texture with the odd stick off solid grass you see in other racers - PGR 3 and Gran Turismo HD included - and you can see why this is special."
^^ they have taken down the original Story probably because of the buzz/hype it got!; while at the same time the guys playing DIRT" turned part of the interview into talk about what hardware it was running on.
#12 people that been around both already think Dirt owns all. Hyper-realism................. for both consoles MOTORSTORM's an offroad BURNOUT vs an Offroad FORZA.
You can see that they have used a focus tool, when editing the picture, but they haven't blured the circle as you can see:
Gotta agree with deepbrown, tho: There's a really odd texture on that dirt in shot #4, but maybe it's something that can be ironed out as the game gets polished. Otherwise, this looks incredible. But how will it play? Are we talking Motorstorm, or just another offroad racer? (I use Motorstorm as example because it's the current standard for many people). If--IF--it plays well, I'll consider it, even though I don't usually like racing games. But something exceptional could change my mind.
alot of people comparing this game to motorstorm.mortorm is an arcade racer while dirt is a semi-simulator.
its like comparing GT to Full auto.and yes i do agree about that picture loking all weird....o yea,it takes more then grafix for a game to be good.
Isn't this game on a rail? Motorstorm has multiple paths, and for this reason alone I feel that this game will not be as thrilling.
it isn't the same sort of game as MotorStorm though...the Colin McRae series is more about realism.
I dont think it's odd texture in screen four at all i think it looks good; it's obvious the dirt is being kicked up from another car to the right of the car shown.
could be...it looks weird but your idea is probably the most logical
Look tight but after motostorm and Burnout 5 im good on racing for a while.
unimpressed, looks pretty good but why are the backgrounds so blurry??? i would download the demo but this game is not going to be on my must have list....
