On his new blog, The Bottom Feeder, Spiderweb Software's Jeff Vogel has continued his discussion of Spiderweb's business model. The first part of the discussion centered around the company's fantasy role-playing game, Geneforge 4: Rebellion. The second installment includes topics such as the decision to develop for both Mac and Windows, Spiderweb's pricing strategy, and the issue of graphics quality.
So far, the Windows/Mac sales of Geneforge 4 break down to about 55/45. Before that, it was about 60/40. Now it's about 50/50. Macintosh market share went way up over the last couple years, and this has helped our sales a lot.
