If you haven't heard the name "G.I. Joe" in a while, that's about to change. Paramount is working on a movie called "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," which will open in theaters on August 7, and Hasbro, the toy's parent company, will precede the film with a new "G.I. Joe vs. Cobra" line that comes out the month before. That's not a bad re-enlistment for a 45-year-old soldier squad.
Of course, having popular toy icons cross over to a video game isn't strange at all, so it's no surprise that Electronic Arts is coattailing the movie release with its own G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra game title.
