PSX Extreme writes: "It's one of the most popular video game franchises in history, even though it may not appeal to the majority of Western gamers. Capcom has a definite money maker with the multi-million selling Monster Hunter franchise, and if you haven't done so already, we suggest you turn your attention towards Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for the PSP. Perhaps if you give it a chance, you'll finally understand Japan's love for these games. This new PSP installment was on display at the Game Developers Conference this year and several sources (including GameSpot and IGN) went hands-on with the promising action/RPG and relayed their thoughts on the experience. For the most part, if you're familiar with the series, you'll already know what to expect; if you're unfamiliar, feel free to use this preview as an initiation of sorts. This game, like most of the other Monster Hunter entries, is like a mini-MMO that offers tons of depth and nearly infinite longevity. Doesn't that interest you?"
