Sony has once again confirmed that WarHawk will ONLY be available as a download title for the time being. If the situation changes, a futher statement will be released.
But seriously this is getting freakin ridiculous with the its on disc, no its not, yes it is, no its not..
Why not just put it out on both?
I think they should make no further statements until the game is completed, It looks like a fun game nonetheless. And if its completely online, it should be down loadable only. IMO
It will be downloadable, because the quality is probably too low to sell it as a full title. For real are there any other reasons?
3 Bubbles again Marshman haha and I really don't care. Five or three, just edit the messages a bit longer.
I see you're on four, that's frightning close to 3 also! Watch out, Sony fanboys are known to vote down
dont care either way.
Game looks fun and awesome visually.
But you know what's better than that?
You only have two bubbles. Ha Ha
bluray dics? Probably there aren't any CGI cutscenes to fill up since its MP only. The video of the ingame wasn't impressive. So why these guys were raving about this AAA title?
I'd guess they're basing this on old news.
and add single player, after seeing some of the comments left on these posts, i'm not sure i wanna be forced to play WITH these people. that idea alone is enough for me to pass on this game.
actually i agree...all the signs point to a game that is at best sub par to the best nextgen games...it could still be a fun game but not the one everyone was anticipating after e3 2005. Sony has some good games but what they need is a killer app.
And Warhawk IS released as a download rather than a blu-ray disc-based game, then it could be read as a panic move by Sony. It could be presumed that either Sony feel compelled to get more games out sooner and/or that development issues---and fixes---would delay Warhawk beyond what Sony was willing to wait for.
If Warhawk is downloadable then this is bad news for Sony. For Sony's sake---and the sake of gamers looking forward to this title, I hope this bit of news proves false.
I'm assuming the game comes in at or under 500MBs since that's the upper limit for PS3 downloads right. That being the case, why would they even bother putting such a limited game on disk unless they thought maybe they could pass it off as a real game and charge more. Sony should just come clean for once and end what we all already know. It's a download.
no wonder there is no unified friends list, they can't even get a unified PR dept.
Combined with conflicting press releases followed by factual news reports that fall short of expectations... Sony why? The damge you do hurts not only yourself but those who actually believe what you say.
Take a page out of Microsoft's 360 PR playbook, promise little, deliver a lot. That formula creates stronger, more positive buzz. It really does.
They took out most of the Nintendo and MS stuff for their software/hardware, unfortunately they weren't smart enough to use their marketing formula. Their PR campaign has been based on deceit and lies since E3 05, which has caused so much hatred towards them from their fans.
