Majesty's twist was that you had no direct control over your community's population, with each hero, guard and peasant's actions driven purely by the AI. But while Majesty was a fun diversion back at the turn of the millennium, nine years is a long time to wait for a sequel, especially when the likes of the Total War series and Company of Heroes have advanced the RTS genre so dramatically in recent years.
