The Most Violent Video Games Ever Made

"By Friday the 13th this past week, two of the goriest games to date arrived on store shelves: MadWorld and Resident Evil 5. An omen? No, it's a bloody obvious sign that some video games are made for adults. There's a reason why the game industry has a self-regulated ratings system. Would you strap in your tween to watch Saw? Maybe traumatize a toddler by reading it to sleep with Stephen King's "It?" Exactly. So don't go buying an "M-rated" game for the kids."

The story is too old to be commented.

can't get more violent than swinging a baseball at my nintendogs forehead and making it whimper

Resident Evil 5 is violent as hell yes. Is it the most violent game ever? Its not even close to being the most violent. In my opinion the PS2 release of Man Hunt is hands down the most violent game ever made.

Man Hunt is a game I don't think any Kid should play. But I loved the hell out of it lol. Its to bad the Man Hunt2 got censored to death.

should be first in my opinion. The whole point of the game is to kill people in the worst ways possible to score more points. Maybe it doesn't get as much credit as it deserves since it's on the Wii, but those that have played it know that one of the most satisfying combos is the basic slam a tire down on a guy, then jam a sign into his neck, and slam him against a spike wall several times.

I don't have a Wii so I have yet to play Mad World. It looks like it should be fun as hell and its been getting decent reviews. Hopefully here in the near future I will be able to give it a go.

Buying a Wii is on my to do list this month lol

If you are a fan of hardcore violence and fun gameplay (yes, it uses the motion controls amazingly), then you must pick up MadWorld. :)

WTF!? Where is Dead Rising? I know they said RE series has replaced it but come on, DR is way gorier than all RE games with the exception of RE5 to some degree. Plus, DR deserved a spot in there.

Aslo, where is Postal 2? Or the mother of all driving violence, Carmageddon!?
And seriously, no Ninja Gaiden 2!? WTF!?

i too was wondering why Postal 2 wasnt on the list. i guess any top game list can be argued i guess.

lol, i guess a lot

Wow, does PC World want to increase its hits much? Sixteen-page story ftl.

On topic, I finished RE5 last night. Enjoyed it. However, I feel like RE4 actually seemed MORE violent than RE5 (with the exception of Chris's head stomping move). The blood, the setting, the grainy look of RE4 just seemed more violent to me than the super slick graphics and daylight settings of RE5.

Where's K***P** & P**** series?

Those are way gorier than Dead Space.

Btw: I'm not gonna write down the names so underaged can't search for them, people who know these games know which they are.

Dead Space is definitly not most violent.
