TeamXbox writes: "Last year's Army of Two didn't quite live up to the pre-release hype, ending up being another one of those games with great potential that just didn't quite live up to its lofty expectations. That doesn't mean there wasn't enough interesting gameplay built around cover systems and co-operative action to pique our interests. Those are the kind of games that most deserve a sequel, another chance to right the wrongs, or maybe just tighten down the bolts on an original idea worth exploring.
In conjunction with the announcement of Army of Two: The 40th Day last week, EA brought in their development team from the Montreal office to show us the new game in its fully running (yet still unfinished) glory. After a nice chat with the devs and some extensive live gameplay examples of the new features, a few distinct elements of the new game shone through as the keys to fixing what was wrong with the prior title."
