Here is a new trailer of The Darkness, including new gameplay footage of this supernatural FPS.
Oh well no-one cares. I thought this game was looking incredible...ne'er mind
since watching this trailer I'm less impressed with the game.
lol. Still noone cares. ha
thanks... but gameplay certainly looks like from max payne era. liked the title display though. q:
Just "ANOTHER" First person shooter....
wow I'm surprised. Last time this was shown everybody was hyped about it. Because you are a kind of superhero and control some weird creatures to do your bidding. Oh well.
So What if no one cares? As for me...
wtf is up with all these games coming out that glamorize violence and merciless gore? it's over the top, over done, over exaggerated, and seriously de-sensitizing gamers to games that are actually fun instead of graphically disgusting. there are enouogh of these f*cked up games out already and the only reason they sell is because of their highly controversial violence. which ever kid has the new violent game is gonna be the popular kid, so every kid wants the game. these games are not selling because of their gameplay or storytelling. they're selling because of their hyped up, glamorous violence, controversial situations, and inducing higher social status to the owner.
these games are also a reflection of the distorted perceptions of reality of the game developers. i never had friends who thought violence and gore were "cool". human life should be respected and killing other humans (in video games) for the purpose of entertainment is twisted, sick, perverted, and those who think its fun need some serious pyschological help.
I think you'll find that this is a comic book adaptation which is hyper-real...meaning that it is far less disturbing than say a war game like COD3. You have to think about the context. I think you'd like a game like Manhunt, because that criticise exactly what you are criticising. It makes it more real in manhunt and quite disturbing, saying why it's wrong to desensitize and the state of entertainment.
What do you think of God of War? Where the enemies are not "human"
