Phoenix Games reviews MLB 2K9

One of the perennial criticisms of sports video games is that they're put out every year with nothing more than updated rosters, a new feature or two and slightly refined graphics. There are always a few minor changes, but all-in-all nothing new. It's rare that you see a sports game that doesn't stick to this trend but every once and awhile you get one that manages to break out of the usual cycle. (Major League Baseball 2K9, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360) 7/10
