"The Oscars, arguably, are quite shit. They get things wrong far more often than they get them right (Forrest Gump over Pulp Fiction anyone? Thought not) and watching as the pomp and pretense unfolds is as painful as it is strangely compulsive.
But really the quality of the picks, or even the show itself, is largely irrelevant – the Oscars is a showcase for the movie industry and the interest it garners from media outlets worldwide is staggering. It attracts the public's attention to well made movies, kickstarts the careers of quality actors/actresses/directors, and is a real driving force for cinema in general."

Stellar Blade might be the hot game right now, but we already got a better version of it more than half a year ago.
Stellar blade is currently higher than lies of p on metacritic with 40 more reviews. No shade on Lies of P but just pointing that out.
But i don't even know why compare them? Because both are souls type games?
Then you can just reuse this article all the time and say Elden Ring is "whatever new souls game" but good for every new souls game.
Stellar blade hate articles must be rolling with clicks...
I mean… it’s like saying we have a better NieR with Devil May Cry. Yea, there’s some similarities, but Lies is really hardcore in the sense of emulating a FromSoft game almost perfectly, where Stellar has some Souls-like elements, but I’d say it’s closer to Sekiro than say a Dark Souls game. This almost feels click-baitey
Oh geez...this is why journos suck...they can't even see differences between games.
Stellar blade is nothing like lies of P. Didn't these guys give stellar a bad score? Geez they really hate it. Stop the hate! Lol
The Finals’ next update could reveal this mysterious 5v5 game mode, as Embark teases major changes to the free-to-play PS5 and Xbox FPS.
his games deserves goty and oscar at the same time
hedio is a legend
No,gaming doesn't need a boring Awards ceremony.
I agree video games should have an official and international recognition as cultural and artistic products, and they have to get rewards, but nothing to do with cinema and Oscars.
And i think there are already video game rewards, it just doesn't fit in a ceremony.
Hoop Dreams > Pulp Fiction > Forrest Gump > Shawshank Redemption
The industry Def. Needs something like this
