Telegraph writes: "Last Thursday, on Sony's PlayStation Network download service, a game was released, quietly and without fanfare. Costing just £3.19 and coming from the creator of the critically-adored Katamari Damacy, many decided the small price was worth the risk, and opted to purchase this title, which went by the unusual handle of Noby Noby Boy. Shortly afterwards, internet forums were abuzz with discussion about this unusual game. Threads consisted of the same few questions, repeated over and over – "what's it all about?", "what do I do?" – with observations mostly along the lines of "I've no idea what's going on". Tellingly, the latter was often followed by "but I'm going to keep playing to find out"."
