GDC 2007: Midway's Advice to Devs "Don't do anything illegal."

At a GDC session titled "Burning Mad -- Game Publishers Rant" this morning, Lee Jacobson, VP of business development for Midway, gave some helpful advice to developers. Jacobson said he was tired of dealing with dishonest developers who engage in "frankly, illegal activity."

Jacobson shared several stories of his dealings with shady development studios. Among dishonest devs' chief crimes: theft. Apparently Midway once dealt with a studio that was withholding milestone money from its team. This studio in particular told its employees Midway hadn't paid the money -- all the while the head of the studio was pocketing the cash...

The story is too old to be commented.
