Electronic Arts COO John Pleasants today confirmed that "Dead Space Extraction," a Wii-exclusive rail-shooter prequel to the survival-horror original, will support the gyroscopic Wii MotionPlus peripheral when the game debuts in fall 2009.
Interesting. I may just have to play this.
Kind of odd pairing what with it being a light gun game. Still should be neat to see what they pull off with it.
EA is pulling all the stops for this one
hmmm this might be interesting.
EA just put the franchise tag all over Dead Space
You know, we all were praising EA for bringing out new games with mirrors edge and dead space, but it seems they plan on milking dead space - you know, already in talks about dead space 2, dead space on the wii etc.
I still want to know how exactly a rail shooter would benefit from Motion Plus technology.
i want to know if since this is a prequal are they gonna release the first deadspace or not since i use to think this was a port i was going to get for wii instead since i prefer suvivor horror games on nintendo due to resident evil reasons but anyways i guess i should get deadspace on ps3 with this deadspace prequal game together
Game isnt going to be "Just a rail shooter". EA has already stated they are going to try to take rail shooters to the next level. You cannot do that if you offer the exact same gameplay. Motion plus is likely for melee or things like that.
