Microsoft has released three new "The Rookies" advertisements to the Web. This time, it's a competition between the young and the old.
died watching this
Sony should take a note or two from the company with the best ad-game in town.
i hope that you're being sarcastic. Just because Sony has been slacking on ads for the past year or two, doesn't mean they haven't produced superior ads in the past. I don't think a single Microsoft ad has ever defeated the best Sony ads. The Play B3yond are still among the best I've ever seen in my life. My spine tingled as I first watched those.
The ones that offended people of different races, or the ones that offended animal lovers? Perhaps you're talking about the fact they DIDN'T promote great games like MGS4, Ratchet and Clank, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, or Devil May Cry 4 with the past they had with gamers. When Sony did promote, they promoted games like Heavenly Sword, Lair, Resistance and Resistance 2, Motorstorm I and II, and other games with no history with gamers with as much frequency as Haley's Comet. 'Cause you're losing me on this one. Maybe you're talking about the one with the freaky doll that made total sense when it came to promoting a game console's games and abilities. Or that one about the FX derived girl with the deformed-looking melon head. It only tells me about the ad company's ability to make memorable commercials, but none telling me about the actual console themselves. And not even the Play B3yond commercials did much to stir awareness of the console, which is why Sony fired that ad company in the first place. I never bought a commercial or game based on their commercials. Heck, If it wasn't for the early reviewers and demos I'd never would've bought many of the games I did play; as a matter of fact, the only reason I bought the first Playstation was because of my previous experience with disc-based media over the limiting cartridge-based media. The PS3 was the first (I believe) cheap Disc-based console out there, so I got it based on experience over my previous console.
It's nice to see some one respond so articulately. Glad to see you stuck to your gu....swords.
n00bs. ha, jk. :)
