Remedy has told VG247 it's not saying whether or not Alan Wake will appear at GDC next month, after weekend chatter pegged the horror for a San Franciscan reveal.
Alan Wake will be a 2010 or maybe even a 2011 release. I love how xbox fanboys complain that Killzone 2 took long to develop yet Alan Wake is still nowhere to be found. No actual gameplay footage or anything. K2 and AW were both unveiled at E3 2005 yet only K2 delivers and has an actual release date. Who has the superior hardware now? Remedy can't deliver the graphics it promised on the 360 that's why it's taking this long. LOL. It's a good thing that its a multiplatform title though. That way, when they promote the game, they can use footage from the superior version--- The PC version. MS did it with Gears 1 and it made the 360 fanboys go apesh*t claiming best graphics when in reality the actual console version was not as advertised.
sure they are not gonna confirm it , they want it to be surprise. Microsoft love surprise. if not GDC 2009, E309
I'd be willing to bet that they're not saying simply because they're not sure. I'd imagine if they were certain of an E3 appearance, they'd mention it and if they weren't, they'd also say it.
Always wanna surprise people...
this game is taking forever to get released. bet u its gonna suck
Taking forever to get released is a good thing. Meaning they are doing very hard work on the development. If you watch that Tech demo of the game you can see why.
the hate? GT5 is taking a long time, but I bet it is going to be awesome. Even though Alan Wake is a new IP, let's wait for a demo before we judge.
Alan Wake will probably be shown this year. The question is when will this game release? Its been about 3yrs of development now, and still no answer.
In it's defence (no doubt I'll end up eating my own words when it DOES get released), 3 years is hardly the longest development time for a game these days, in fact 2 years seems to be the minimum and many games are starting to take 3-4 years to finish. Look at some of the big titles this year to see what I mean. I know most of them tend to show off bits and pieces, but part of the appeal to the game is the mystery behind it, or so they say. It's possible they don't want to show anything off because it'd spoil it a little. Or it could just be it's in development hell and will be released buggy and disappointing. I'm hoping the former is the case.
Will it be another Too Human? All hype and no fun? Press agree if you think so, disagree if you don't.
Another Too Human? I think not... http://www.youtube.com/watc... Just watch from the middle and this is just the Tech demo they release ages ago.
Too Human is actually a great game but you have to be one of those gamers who is prepared to put in the time to really appreciate it, Alan Wake is a totally different game, I like games I can get lost in, apparently though I have not played it Fallout 3 is one of those games but Alan Wake looks more my type of game.
A great addition to the xbox360 console. I'd call it a Killzone 2 killer but we don't need one seeing as Killzone 2 has killed itself when it thought it could stand a chance against Halo 3 and Gears of War 2. Offtopic : Whatever happened to that fat cow Ultimolu? I haven't seen her in a while and I kinda miss her. ''OMG GUISE U FANBOYS WORS KIND (360 FANBOIS OFCOURSE CUZ PS3 FANBOYS NO DO NUTHIN WRONG!!). IM PRO SUCKSTATION 3 BIASED!!''
Only 30 people are working on Alan Wake (it's a small company). Also the want to deliver a triple A game. That's why it's taking so long to develop. For more info and news, head to the official forum http://www.alanwake.com/for... http://www.alanwake.com/for... and please do some research before posting.
That's a small number. They can take all the time they need. I need to go back to the Alan Wake boards to read up on their progress.
didn't know that. It'll be awesome if they are able to pull off a AAA game. They can take all their sweet time. Bubbles to you.
I spoke to one of their representatives at Nordic Game last year. She told me they were having a 'media blackout', which explains why we haven't heard anything about it. I think they will be at either GDC or E3.
I have also posted a link with alan wake FAQ which is very helpful.
Does the game even exist ?
the game is a lie.
