Exclusive Infamous Gameplay from Gametrailers.com. WARNING: Video may contain spoilers
although I'm worried about how much it will last.
Good looking game
Well It may not last but will most surely be long and one hell of a ride. just from what i have seen easily worth 60$ imo. Can't wait =D
This game just keeps looking better and better.
Looking good! ...But... ....RELLLLLLEEEEEAAAAASSEEEE DAAAATTTEEE!!!???!!!
same here. We need a fricken release date dammit.
Yup, I need that date. So I can clear a week off my schedule.
looks sick, lol at the comments at gametrailers
Jealous fanboy-fest? We may as well get used to that; we have a LOT of exclusive games coming this year that'll cause that sort of envy.
Like EvoAnubis is saying. Just ignore them and get used to it. I would ignore it too if I wans't a devoted Sony troll.
and i like the way the use of cover plays in this.. Infamous is like uncharted, GTA, and eletricity all wrapped harmoniously in one. i cant wait.
This game is Exclusive to the PS3 Not just for its Amazing Graphics and Original Gameplay But if that guy threw one of those electric bolts outa his ass on the Xbox The God Damm Machine would Blow up Instantly
1st Naughty Dog makes Uncharted, then Imsomniac with Resistance now Sucker Punch with Infamous. this is what i call innovation and originality something that Shamesoft and their poor 1st parties dont have like bungie and epic stuck making brainless shooters with zero innovation. no wonder bungie left Shamesoft and epic is already on its way.
those explosions are incredible and even better there was no sign of frame rate drop
All that going on on-screen with great effects and silky smooth. I knew cars and such could be destroyed but was glad to see the pillars destroyed as well. I wonder how much of the environments are destructible in this game.
From a distance I always thought this game could look better. But then, if you take the time to pay attention to the details, it becomes apparent how much is going on in this game. First, all the stuff laying around in those tunnels (which actually is debris or trash and fully interactive it seams), and then the crazy particle effects. I am watching this and asking myself, why the heck isn't this game slowing down. No hitch or nothing. Wild. No slightest sign of a frame drop.
I just noticed. We now have a soundtrack.
The 2nd video had some really nice physics
loooks amazing. i cant wait to play this. thats just so cool. all the action going on and it seems to have an interesting story.
'WARNING: Video may contain sounds of xBot Zombie DLC Lemmings CRYING in the background' ;-D
Bring it on.
nathan hail certianly is a busy man ;-)
Prototype has over the top destruction. You can run up buildings and throw cars at helicopters. But notice that the environment in prototype looks very dull and boring. Prototype is more like the Incredible Hulk games. inFAMOUS looks more alive with a better story and deeper gameplay.
Can no wait for this game... I shall BUy this and then play this with such joy one might stop to think of the xbots and there broken consoles and glitchy games but no time I Must get Killzone 2 and Infamous and then the MIGHTY GOD OF WAR WHOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OO Yea I excited. Me likey long time.
this game looks amazing MUST BUY for me.
because Prototype was made by the developers that made the Hulk: Ultimate Destruction game from last generation. the game was fun, but very shallow. and yeah, it's using the same New York map that ALL Activision superhero games use. inFamous has me more excited for a few reasons: 1) the electric powers look like a lot more fun to use. calling down lighting strikes, defibrilating people or sucking their life into your own, hovering using your electricity and so on just looks more badass. the free climbing mechanic looks smoother and more polished than Prototype's wallrunning. 2) the visuals are infinitely more detailed in inFamous. the environment isn't based off of an existing city, so there's a lot of fun in discovering what this new locale is hiding in it's nooks and crannies. New York is a GREAT city, but it's been done, and done, and done, and done in video games since Spider-Man 2 fully realized it (and every Spider-Man game has ran it into the ground ever since, not to mention the Hulk games) 3) it's an exclusive, meaning it's being optimized for the PS3 to utilize it's strengths. i can tell already from the animations, physics, and detail that Sucker Punch is really working hard to give the game it's identity. 4) it's from Sucker Punch. a proven developer with a rock solid track record. the Sly Cooper games were great, and inFamous looks like an evolution of that gameplay polish and design, while moving in a new direction for the developer. 5) Super-villain battles! i haven't seen any super villain stuff in Prototype (even when i worked at Vivendi and saw it everyday i went to work). and the thought of having some really cool battles against other super powered characters sets off my comic book geekometer. in short, i think inFamous looks AWESOME, and each time i see a new video or trailer, it makes the wait for this summer so much harder. thankfully, there are a ton of games coming out from now until then to keep me busy.
Infamous looks incredible, another awesome PS3 game I will be playing once it drops!!
Previous videos were kind of slow and honestly a little boring but this shows tons of stuff happening on-screen with great detail, animation, effects, and shows story depth. Still waiting for them a show an emporer-style electrocution instead of one handed little blasts but I'm getting more excited for this game.
The console's 2009 titles look absolutely incredible! It's scary to think what PS3 games are going to achieve in the console's 4th and 5th year.
Is that it's simply not profitable to develop exclusively for the PS3. If any of the developers who do deals with sony exclusively, had to actually make money outside of the protective umbrella of the sony first party deal - they would all be bankrupt. Killzone 2 looks great - but my guess is it cost them 60-70m dollars to get it to where it is right now. that means on a normal balance sheet, guerilla and sony would need to sell approximately 4 copes of killzone 2 per PS3 to make their money back.
