Sony: 'We're Open to Changing the Sixaxis'

In a new interview with Jack Tretton, GamePro magazine got the president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America to open up about the company's stance on the SIXAXIS controller.

"You will see peripherals coming from SCEA that will address the interests of the U.S. consumer. I don't have anything to tell you specifically, but we're open to changing the Sixaxis controller."

Is the extremely careful phrasing by Tretton his way of hinting that we could be seeing rumble functionality in the near future (after all, Sony and Immersion have kissed and made up)?

I feel sorry for you all that spent $200 on controller, the right thing to go is offer some sort of exchange.

$59.99 x 3 = $179.97

Rumble is definitely the reason for this statement. They need to slowly persuade people to forget that they said that Rumble is not needed. Anyway, I'm all for that. Hope it's soon.

they are open to changing it? after all the complaints from people who tried it and the industry professionals that trashed and said they wanted rumble before the ps3 was released you are now open to change?

what's next, they think online play "might" be catching on?

if they just add rumble i will not purchase a new contoller. i usually turn the rumble off any ways ( only cell phones and sex toys vibrate)
