NowGamer:The Lord Of The Rings: Conquest 360 Review

The only difference we found this to make was in the character skin – the entire offering felt a little contrived and pointless. There is only one redeeming feature about this game and that's the license from which it comes. But even that is handled in a ham-fisted lazy fashion – cut-scenes involve little more than Hugo Weaving monologueing over some footage from Peter Jackson's trilogy. Even though the game covers every significant battle from the Ring War, it fails to adequately steep you in the conflict – each battle feels like a stroll in the park instead of a desperate contest for the fate of the world. No, what we have here is not a Ring War. It's a Ring Peace."
