Nanotech research could fit 10 trillion bits of data onto disk the size of a quarter

Researchers invent a technique that could cram 10 trillion bits onto a surface the size of a quarter.

For decades, hard-disk makers have been shrinking the electromagnetic media that store data to cram more information into a tinier footprint. Now two nanotechnology researchers may have shown the next step in that ever-smaller evolution: Letting the disks make themselves.

.000000000001 cents per kb figure that out :P

I didnt do it yet soo hold on lol

umm how many bytes are their in a tb lol.

I know its 1000 GB's

lilgringo3580d ago

1TB = 1000GB
1000GB = 1000,000MB
1000,000MB = 1000,000,000KB
1000,000,000KB = 1000,000,000,000B
