The 32 Totally Essential (and Free) Apps for Every New PC

You have to admit, Windows is a pretty barebones operating system, feature-wise. Not a bad article, some nice apps I didn't know about there.

But I have to disagree with them in one instance: IsoBurn. I'm sure this is a lovely application, but it's very simple and only does one task (burn .iso images). Now that might be it's charm, but why settle for less?

Give ImgBurn a go ( http://www.imgburn.com/ ), it'll burn just about any image format you're likely to ever come across, it'll rip disks to your hard drive, it'll make .ISOs out of files on your hard drive and it can even be used to simply burn files on your hard drive straight to disk. What's more, it can then read the disk afterwards and verify it against the .iso to ensure the burn went well.
Oh and it's completely FREE.
