GI writes: "I remember back in high school that a friend of mine really liked a certain game. It was about a samurai and the ability to suck the souls out of demons. Those who know their PlayStation 2 history rather well, you'll probably recognize the game - if not, you'll know the series he's referencing. Yep, it's the original Onimusha. And it worked rather well; it was a tightly knit horror-inspired game with strong action elements. So folks, let us take a look at the second game in the series: Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny. It's a lot of fun. It also is more of the same.
Onimusha 2 takes place about a decade after the events in the original game. This time around, you control Jubei, a wondering swordsman who returned home after years of training. When he arrived, the village was destroyed and practically burned to the ground. It is at this point he follows the sound of his name and discovers his purpose: Find the demon lord Nobunaga (who refuses to die) and exact revenge upon him. You'll then quickly become friends with other characters who have different reasons for joining with Jubei."
