PSM3 has revealed further details on the legendary lore and gameplay mechanics that may interest initially apathetic gamers in the title.
- The game shares the exact same control scheme as God of War, even down to Circle being used to open chests. so dis suppose to be a god of war clone?
They are comparing it to "Dead Space meets God of War"... If I recall, their are 4 major movie studios in a bidding war for the movie rights... I like the idea of a "knight with magic powers” to suit the tone of the game...Perhaps more depth than just a hack and slash button masher. I don't know if it will be anywhere near GOW or even Dead space, but it does have me interested.
I couldn't care less. It's from the team that made Dead Space! That's enough to make me excited as hell!
Loved the divine comedy back when I read it in high school, but something about this game just doesn't seem all that appealing to me. Like the idea, but something about turning Dante who was at first more so afraid of the inferno and limbo before now becoming a knight who is ready to 'kick ass.' Overall I might try a demo and maybe rent it if not buy it (if I find it to be quite a bit of fun), but overall I'd say there is just something about it; it may just be because I haven't seen game play or anything as of yet. I guess I should wait before passing judgment on this game until I've seen some game play action :).
Actually, he'll be kicking ass for the lord. It's from Dead Space team, so it should be good.
Meh, i'd rather have Dante Sparda kick ass for the Lord...
Was that a Dead Alive (AKA - Brain Dead) reference? http://www.youtube.com/watc...
LeonSKennedy4Life you're winner!
We'll see from the demo before I decide. The art direction looks nice though. I hope it goes well for EA.
There are sights of true terror in The Divine Comedy. PLEASE don't mess this up, and PLEASE use Gustav Dore's woodcuts as inspiration! http://i177.photobucket.com...
ill be keeping an eye on this one. Love games like this.
Would rather have had a new survival horror series where you play more the role of a helpless character against horrible odds... there just aren't any scary games out anymore (except for Dead Space). I think the 9 circles of hell concept would have worked great for a SH game (survival horror not Silent Hill).
I partially agree with you. There aren't any good survival horror games this generation except for Dead Space. People expecting RE5 to change that will be disappointed by the new direction (again I may be wrong, since I haven't played the full game, but its hard to imagine being scared when you are in broad day light with a buddy). Dead Space in my opinion will keep the crown for a bit longer. But I do believe Dead space creators are a bunch of talented people and any type of game is most welcomed:D
I read somewhere that Universal has already bought the rights to make a movie based on this game, which is based on a book... the game will probably turn out all right, but the movie will probably suck.
should tie me over to GOWIII
from what i read... its a GOW game with a different character and story .... well i might like it still. i don't think it may reach GOWIII . don't think as a fanboy comment but, if this is going multiplat game, the xbox fans will come out saying **its hell better than GOWIII** weil... i hope not but.. o well 1 never know... lol
I see they are taking serious liberties with the story. It's going to be just another hack and slash. First circle of hell is not "Limbo" (at least according to Dante). It was reserved for people who led a good life, but were not Christians. it was also for babies who died before getting baptized. The "Limbo" they are referring to is a separate book in Divine Comedy, called "Purgatory"
Yeah, I will still buy this game because its made by Redwood Shores, but like THANATOS-DMC said, I rather have Dante Sparda do the dirty work for the LORD.
